Diane Farr

Diane Farr is a household name to Gen X and Y'ers for her work as co-host of MTV's cult phenomenon "Loveline". This year Farr takes her pop-culture success into her most challenging role yet, starring in ABC's mid-season dramedy "The Job", in which she is the female lead opposite Denis Leary.

In 1997, Farr was brought on board MTVs highest rated show to give "Loveline" a long awaited feminine edge. She added her charismatic personality, quick-witted intelligence and stunning good looks, to what was once "the all male couch." Her "whisky soaked voice" has offered perspective to callers for 165 episodes of "Loveline", making Farr one of the leading female personas of young America. It's no wonder that Universities around the country have packed audiences into the thousands for a two-hour stand-up show by Farr on "What's up with America's youth?"

Diane left "Loveline" last year to join the cast of ABC's "The Drew Carey Show", playing a recurring role as the love interest of the whole cast. Following "Drew," she joined the cast of the WB's hot drama "Roswell". Farr plays Amy Deluca, the new age, offbeat, erratic mother of Maria Deluca. She brings a comic, left of center, character to this very serious and "out of this world" drama. Farr has recurring roles on UPN's "Secret Agent Man" and TNT's "Bull". She has recently been seen in HBO's "Arliss" as Robert Wuhl's girlfriend, for which HBO submitted her for an Emmy nomination.

In the upcoming ABC dramedy,"The Job," Diane plays Jan Fendrick, a tough New York City detective with enough bravado to hang in the entirely male squad room. This thirty minute, single-camera comedy is being hyped as "the single best thing on network television since M*A*S*H." The show is scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 14, at 9:30 on ABC.

Last summer, Farr starred opposite Michael Madsen in the haunting psychological thriller "Sacrifice" airing on HBO. Farr will also lead the cast in Tribeca Films' romantic comedy "Little Indiscretions", due out next summer.
